About the Internship Program
The Intern program is for anyone that wants to see what full time missions looks like. Through shadowing our full-time missionaries to helping lead groups, interns get a glimpse of the mission field.
Share the Gospel
The most important quality for any aspiring interns is a willingness to share the Gospel with anyone they encounter.
Learn the Language & Culture
During their time in the DR, interns will be immersed in the culture and language. We strongly encourage them to be open to learn and not resistant or proud.
Contribute to Ministry
The more hands we have, the more minsitry we can do! The interns will work under Jake to carry out Hope for Hispaniola's ongoing ministry and lead trips.

Internship FAQ
How many interns are there?
We typically allow two interns at a time. The internship program depends on the intern's availability. Some interns, like college students, opt to come down for a semester. Others commit to a full year.
Can I visit home if I'm an intern?
Visiting home is always an option. However, we strongly encourage interns to remain immersed in the culture and the experience.
Where do the interns stay?
Interns stay at our Missions Center located near Higuey. The Missions Center has men's and women's dorms, apartments, and full facilities.
